Attorney Brian Berkowitz earned his bachelor of science degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey and his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island. During law school he interned for the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office in New City, New York. Upon graduating law school attorney Berkowitz began his legal career working as a prosecutor for the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, which eventually lead to him earning a promotion to Senior Assistant District Attorney and being appointed to head of the office’s Driving While Intoxicated Bureau. In this capacity, he was responsible for the training of prosecutors and the review and assessment of every DWI case brought before the Rockland County D.A.’s Office; he also personally handled the most serious misdemeanor and felony DWI cases from inception through trial.
In 2002, attorney Berkowitz founded the Law Office of Brian Berkowitz to realize his dream of defending the criminally accused.
