JAMUL, Calif. - June 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Local author, Penelope Dyan, and co-author, former San Diegan, Pamela Hillan, have  published another new children’s/ teen book with Bellissima Publishing, LLC, Jamul, California, the third book in the Jan & Jenny Mystery/Adventure Series, “The Discovery In The Old Mine.”

In the third book in the Jan and Jenny Mystery/Adventure Book Series, “The Discovery In The Old Mine,” the girls are off to Camp Cuyamaca in the mountains of small town Julian, California, with their classmates.  All does not go well for Jenny, and she is almost immediately labeled a trouble maker for her outspoken views that are prompted by her best friend, Jenny.  The girls end up getting lost and decide to take refuge in an old abandoned gold mine.  The girls make a discovery in the old mine, and this leads to danger and intrigue.  The Hufflefingers reappear n this book, and once again this is something that involves the Ms. Wright and the FBI. Penelope Dyan is an attorney, an award winning author and a former teacher.  Two of her books are on display at the Saison Poetry Library in London, UK; and her book “Surfer Girl’ is winner of best teen book at both the 2008 New York Book Festival and the 2008 Hollywood Book Festival.  “Surfer Girl” is ranked fifth on the AU Pukeke Reading List and is recognized by the Girls Voices In Literature Database, Miami University, Florida.  The “Surfer Girl Book Series” is a part of the special surfing books collection at SDSU.
