CARLISLE, Pa. - June 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Carlisle Bike Fest celebrates the motorcycle community in a way unmatched regionally.  The weekend, July 19-21 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, offers a wide array of activities, displays and vendors specific to the hobby and the lifestyle associated with it.  In addition to stunt shows and demo rides, Carlisle Bike Fest also plays host to a handful of bands on the main stage of the grounds.  Friday will feature country, Saturday Rock and Sunday a Jazz/Blues sound.  Specific set times are TBD, but to date, five local and regional groups have been confirmed.

Friday's country is courtesy of Stephanie Bell and Little Rock as well as the group Laredo.  Stephanie Bell & Little Rock are one of Pennsylvania's premier bands and are on the road promoting their new album, “This Beating of My Heart.” Besides playing their own hits, they enjoy covering all-time favorite country hits for their fans.  This is their second go around with Carlisle, having played the 2012 Ford Parade too.

Laredo is one of the region's top country bands. Lead singer Dave Kelly has spent time on the road with many local, regional and national acts and most recently performed with some of the state's top bands. Laredo is a central PA staple, playing at many of the area's top country bars, clubs and saloons. They also play many outdoor events like Carlisle Bike Fest.

The rock of Saturday is provided by Evelyn's Ashes and Maddam Ink.  Hailing from York, Pennsylvania, Evelyn’s Ashes has made extraordinary strides in their quest to become a household name in the music industry around the world.  Formed in 2005, the band has had one common goal: to write unforgettable songs and music and combine a live performance that remains unsurpassed.

Partner act for Saturday, Maddam Ink subscribes to many of the same philosophies.  Maddam Ink boasts hard driving riffs, big catchy hooks and impassioned live shows.  The East Greenville, Pennsylvania based alternative rock outfit was formed in 2004 by lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and songwriter Adam Burke.  The group is making considerable ground in their quest to the top and is looking forward to a visit to Carlisle Bike Fest.

Sunday wraps the musical fun and event with Buzzchopper as well as Ajay Shughart.  Buzzchopper is a three piece heavy-instrumental surf band from South Central, Pennsylvania.  They weave psychedelic surf leads over pounding rhythms.  Patrons can ride a wave of '60s surf sounds through the garage and out the other side.

Finally, young Ajay Shughart will entertain too.  Ajay grew up in a home filled with all kinds of music and at the age of 4 was already a blues fan.  At age 9, after watching the movie “School of Rock,” Ajay decided he wanted to play the guitar. His parents, thinking this was just a passing fad, purchased a cheap Fender beginner guitar set up. It wasn’t long after starting lessons that they discovered this “passing fad” had become a passion and that Ajay had a true gift.  Ajay plays with the Central PA Friends of Jazz Youth Band, the Trez Music All Star Jazz Band and the Dickinson College Jazz Band. He also plays with the country band, The Oddbaws.

All music is free with a paid admission to the event itself.  Gates open Friday at 9 a.m., while Saturday and Sunday get underway at 8 a.m.  Children 12 and under are admitted free.
