Celebrity Fashion Designer LaQuan Smith set to Close out Alaska Fashion Week

Yes, making his debut at Alaska Fashion Week’s finale --- is what ultra-talented New York based designer, LaQuan Smith (http://www.laquansmith.com/store/) will do – in grand style…we might add.

Known for his attention to detail, Laquan has designed custom pieces for artists such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce’ Alexa Chung, RitaOra, Paula Patton, Jennifer Lopez, Dakota Fanning, Courtney Love, Amerie, Tyra Banks,Amber Rose, Sessilee Lopez, and the list goes on and on.

One season he selected a water goddess as his muse; another he was inspired by his travels and a particularly beautiful garden in France.

Alaska Fashion week kicks off Thursday June 27th thru the 30th at the beautiful Dena ‘ina Civic Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

Models will rip the runway with designs by EMI, Jun Artajo, Jasmine Agape, Leontine Abdullah, Camille Liwanag, Jun Artajo, Beso Moda, Rockets, Apricot Lane, Lovey, Parris Harris, I Style, Beware and of course LaQuan Smith.

With buyers from all over the world in attendance, the Alaska Fashion Week has already been predicted to be a major success.

The four-day event blends emerging talent with veteran designers and is best known for its cutting-edge talent and avant garde trends.

What shoppers can take away from Alaska is the idea that the runway is a tool to present fanciful options, not to be used to dictate a specific look.
