Adams Homes in Huntsville, Alabama receives 2013 Best Places to Work award

GULF BREEZE, Fla. - June 12, 2013 - PRLog -- The Huntsville Madison Chamber of Commerce held its annual Best Places to Work Awards honoring those companies and individuals representing excellence in the Huntsville Madison area. With numerous company representatives in attendance, Adams Homes dominated 250 companies in the running to win 2013 Best Places to Work Awards, held in Huntsville, Alabama. Not to mention, out of the 1,800 companies considered for nomination, Adams Homes was the only home builder in the Huntsville Madison area nominated. General Manager, Ronnie Rainwater, had this to say on what it means to receive such an award, “I believe that to have been nominated for the award was an honor and then to have been named the best place to work is beyond anything that we could have imagined. I believe it's extremely important for the employees of any firm to enjoy going to work. I believe strongly that a happy workforce equates to healthy results."

Hundreds of people attended the 2013 Best Places to Work Awards ceremony, what most consider the most prestigious awards ceremony of the year.

The Huntsville Madison Chamber of Commerce made the initial selection of nominees based on the following criteria: Alignment with Goals, Trust with co-workers, Individual contribution, Manager effectiveness, Trust in leaders, Feeling valued, Work engagement and People practices.

Random surveys and questionnaires were given to employees through the Chamber and the results were given based on the surveys and questionnaires.

The Best Place to Work Award has been going on for the last 6 years, the nominees are selected through a variety of sources in which an independent firm takes random surveys and interviews with various employees, sub-contractors, and vendors etc. to obtain who will win. The surveys and interviews taken are then scored based on a number of parameters, listed earlier and the highest score from the companies is given the award as best place to work.
