Angelica Ortiz-Nunez competed in Allstate Life Insurance Challenge 13.1 Marathon® in Chicago June 8

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - June 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Ted Todd Insurance Agency employee Angelica Ortiz-Nunez ran in the Allstate Life Insurance Challenge 13.1 Marathon® on June 8 in Chicago and finished in 2:06:34! The weather was perfect for a good run as the race kicked off at 7:00 a.m. at the South Shore Cultural Center at 7059 South Shore Drive.  

“I’ve run four of these races, including the Allstate Miami Beach race on March 4, 2012 and Allstate Fort Lauderdale race on November 11, 2012,” said Ms. Ortiz-Nunez. “The Chicago race was especially enjoyable, as we ran along Lake Shore Drive with the lake to our right and the city skyline stretched in front of us! It was absolutely stunning!”

Organized by US Road Sports And Entertainment Group, the world class event included live music along the course, great lakeside views stretching the 13.1 miles along scenic Lake Shore Drive, with breathtaking views of the Chicago skyline—polished off with a fantastic finish line festival and awards event that included deep dish sausage pizza at the finish line!

One of eight race events in the national series, the Allstate Life Insurance Challenge 13.1 Marathon Chicago is among the five largest half marathons in the U.S. and in the top 20 largest road races in the country. It began in Los Angeles in January, followed by Miami in early March and New York in late March. Each event includes a 5K in addition to the 13.1 Marathon. From Chicago, the series continues on in Boston on September 15, followed by Atlanta on October 6 and Dallas on October 26. It eighth race in the series takes place in Florida with 13.1 Marathon Fort Lauderdale on November 10.
