By: Bella Argentina Tucson Fashion Week provides a professional platform for emerging designers, independent retailers and established companies to showcase their work locally and nationally to consumers, buyers and industry leaders. TFW’s goal is to elevate the Tucson arts community into the national spotlight. Of the event, Bella Argentina designer Courtney Williams said, “I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with the new creative directors of Tucson Fashion Week, Paula Taylor Productions and MHS Styling. They are incredibly talented, and have come together to bring the Southwest three packed days of style, art, celebrity and cuisine. This will be the ideal platform for emerging designers launching new apparel and jewelry collections.” Accessories designers will present jewelry and handbag collections during the second evening of Tucson Fashion Week. The event includes a Premiere Runway & Ensemble Presentation at Tucson Museum of Art on October 18, 2013. International VIP celebrity guests, including acclaimed designer Betsy Johnson, will be in attendance. The new Bella Argentina jewelry collection is inspired by the Art Deco grandeur of the glory days of Tango in Buenos Aires, the “Paris of South America.” Earrings, bracelets, and necklaces in the new collection intermingle gemstones such as amethyst, quartz, and agate, with feminine handmade sterling silver work. Inspired by the Art Deco period that gave birth to intricate Tango dance steps, each Bella Argentina piece brings the raw passion of the Argentine Tango dance to life as wearable art.
