PODS® Containers Transformed Into High-End Art to be on Display at ArtWalk Ventura, July 20 - 21

VENTURA, Calif. - June 13, 2013 - PRLog -- (VENTURA, Calif.) – June 10, 2013 – Sixteen PODS® containers will be showcased in a unique way during the ArtWalk Ventura cultural event. Donated by Your Local PODS® Service Provider, a moving and storage company, and owner Steve Yapp, the safe and secure PODS® containers will go to local artists who will make over each into an original work of art.

“We’re thrilled to be able to introduce this new art concept to the creative line-up at ArtWalk this year,” said Mary Perez, ArtWalk Ventura organizer and owner of Vita Art Center. “PODS® containers will be transformed from plain, white boxes into artwork, art installations and art galleries. It will be fun to see these talented artists ideas come to life.”

From July 20 – 21, the PODS® containers will be on display as pop-up PODS® Galleries throughout the streets of Downtown and Ventura’s West End to connect the more than two dozen gallery spaces.

“PODS as art is popping up in several of the leading art communities across the country, such as the Little Tokyo exhibit in Los Angeles and also with the Art League in Houston with their Portable On Demand Art exhibit last year,” Yapp explained. “This will be the largest PODS gallery to date and we’re very excited to be part of that. I know the public will be very impressed with that they see.”
