Jan & Jenny Are Off To New York!

JAMUL, Calif. - June 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Local author, Penelope Dyan, and co-author, former San Diegan, Pamela Hillan, have  published another new children’s/ teen book series with Bellissima Publishing, LLC, Jamul, California, the fourth book in the Jan & Jenny Mystery/Adventure Series.  And Penny D. Weigand, owner of Bellissima Publishing, LLC is off to the New York Book Festival June 22, 2013 from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM to introduce and show off the first four books in the series to the teen reading public.

“This is a great book series about two best friends, written by lifelong friends who grew up together in San Diego, California,” says Penny D. Weigand, attorney and CEO of Bellissima Publishing, LLC.  “You will agree that it’s the Nancy Drew Series of our time once you have read any of these books.  Kids can’t wait to get their hands on them!”  
Soon the first four books in the series will be combined into a single volume.  Then kids can read one after the other if they like, or they can keep the volume as a collector item.  The first volume will contain, The Mystery On Burgundy Street, The Secret At Fort Huachuca, The Discovery In The Old Mine and The Mummy’s Secret.  “The idea is that by putting all four books into a single volume, mystery fans can get a real deal on the four books,” says Weigand.  “But fans will still also have the option of buying the books individually, as well.  And these books are the perfect legth for the early teen reader and are so much fun!”  Weigand says the frills will be gone in the volume books, but the readers will get a look at the Jan and Jenny fictional characters on the volume covers.  “Kid’s should also look for a Jan and Jenny Cookbook,” Weigand adds.

Penelope Dyan is an attorney, an award winning author and a former teacher.  Two of her books are on display at the Saison Poetry Library in London, UK; and her book “Surfer Girl’ is winner of best teen book at both the 2008 New York Book Festival and the 2008 Hollywood Book Festival.  “Surfer Girl” is ranked fifth on the AU Pukeke Reading List and is recognized by the Girls Voices In Literature Database, Miami University, Florida.  The “Surfer Girl Book Series” is a part of the special surfing books collection at SDSU. Pamela Hillan is a twenty year veteran court reporter which makes a perfect combination for this mystery/adventure series.
