PRLog -- Capital Region Orthopaedics and CBS6 hosted an award reception to honor students throughout the Capital Region who consistently showed their Personal Best this past school year on and off the field. Personal Best debuted in the fall of 2012 after Capital Region Orthopaedics brainstormed the idea for the program.
The award reception took place Tuesday, June 4, at the CBS 6 studios. The evening was hosted by Greg Floyd of CBS 6. He welcomed the students and families explaining the mission of Capital Region Orthopaedics’
Personal Best, and how each of the students’ unique stories helps inspire other athletes to show their Personal Best both in sports and in the classroom.
The Personal Best winners were each honored with a plaque to showcase their accomplishments. “Every one of the winners has a special story attached to them,” says Dr. Zanaros, Capital Region Orthopaedics physician. “If you sit down and listen to them, it’s remarkable on how they’ve persevered through their hard work and we’re very proud of them,” says Dr. Zanaros.
The 2012-2013 Personal Best winners are major influences among the Capital Region, and will continue to inspire their peers and other young athletes. If you know a student-athlete that always gives his or her Personal Best, they can be nominated for the 2013-2014 season here.
