NLC Inc Hosts Successful Charity Tournament for Operation Smile

SAN FRANCISCO - June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- This past weekend, NLC Inc held a fundraiser for Operation Smile that raised significant funds. NLC Inc decided to throw a Charity Beer Pong Tournament which had 16 teams in participation at Molloy's Tavern in Colma, CA!  The tournament was single elimination and had teams fighting to stay in the game.  Overall NLC Inc raised $670 to be donated straight to Operation Smile.  The funds were enough to support 3 total Operation Smile surgeries in third world countries.

"It's amazing to see that our one event could raise such high funds" says Brittany Peterson, HR Manager. "We are planning to have at least 2 to 3 more events, which equals large funds raised towards such a great cause."

Operation Smile is an international children's medical charity that heals children's smiles, forever changing their lives. As an international charity for children, they measure themselves by the joy they see on all of the faces they help. At Operation Smile is a mobilized force of medical professionals and caring hearts who provide safe, effective reconstructive surgery and related medical care for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate. At the low donation price of $240, Operation Smile can provide one surgery to a child in need.

NLC Inc is proud to announce a few more events on the horizon that will be both beneficial for team building within the office and raising money towards Operation Smile.  Harrison W, Account Manager said, "We've nearly met our original goal with a pledge of $1000 made last year at our national conference in Atlanta, GA. With just the few more events we were planning to host, we should surpass our original pledge amount."
