DALLAS - June 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Standing 8 Promotions continues the electrifying six-fight series, Bud Light Pro Fight Series, with the seven-bout Fight #3, “Texas Pride,” on Friday, June 28 at College Park Center at the University of Arlington (601 Spaniolo Drive, Arlington, TX 76019). Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; opening bell rings at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased in advance online at www.utatickets.com or by calling UTA box office 817.272.9595. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the day of the fight. UTA students with valid student ID cards receive a special discount. One dollar of every ticket sale will benefit Fort Worth Metro, an inner city non-profit organization committed to serving children and families of the poverty-stricken and crime-ridden areas of DFW.

Always a show-stopping production, the event will be a fan-friendly affair featuring a vacation giveaway for two to the Caribbean and other exciting giveaways to lucky audience members. Radio personality Mark Elfenbein from 105.3 The Fan’s “Elf & Slater” show is the official ring announcer, and General Gavin Dawson and Chris Arnold of 105.3 The Fan’s “G-Bag Nation” will broadcast live from the event.

“Texas Pride” features the best in pro boxing from across the great state of Texas. The eight-round welterweight division main event features McKinney’s Albert Rodriquez 9-1 (4KO’s) who takes on Harlingen’s Esteban Almarez, 10-5 (4KO’s) in what has the makings of a barnburner fight. After a four-year sabbatical, the heavily sought-after Rodriguez returned to the ring in April and is ready to re-claim his highly-regarded reputation. Almarez has been featured on national television for giving top prospects all they could handle and is an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, having served with the Army’s First Cavalry Division based out of Fort Hood.
