Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate John Hanger, joins the LGBT community, as a speaker, at the first

ENOLA, Pa. - June 19, 2013 - PRLog -- The LGBT community across the state of Pennsylvania is creating a unified voice in support for the following state legislation:
•   PA House Bill 719 which would amend Pennsylvania law to allow marriage for same-sex couples.
•   PA House and Senate Bills 300 which would end legal discrimination for all public accommodations, including but not limited to housing, employment, lodging, and transportation.
•   PA House Bill 156 would mandate continued education for teachers and provide definitions for reporting and for policy against bullying.

According to David E. Moore, Founder & President of Marriage Equality, "it is important for the various LGBT rights organizations across Pennsylvania to come together with one common voice to push for equality. We have to strike while we have the momentum, and with the Supreme Court decisions looming, and equality bills in the Assembly, now is that time."

Rally for Equality in Harrisburg

   On Saturday, June 22nd, the LGBT community of Harrisburg will welcome members of the LGBT Community from across the state to march on the capital complex and listen to the following guest speakers:

The rally for equality begins promptly at 10am and will continue until 2pm.

MARRIAGE EQUALITY FOR PA – HLLY CHAPTER is the Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York Chapter of Marriage Equality for Pennsylvania. We are a statewide organization with local chapters. Our chapter in central PA seeks to work with our state chapter and other organizations and mobilize our local LGBT community as well as our Allies, to create awareness of issues pertaining in the LGBT community, most notably: marriage equality and discrimination.
