Countdown to Glamour at the Races for Ladies' Day

PLYMOUTH, U.K. - June 20, 2013 - PRLog -- The countdown is on to the most glamorous fixture of the racing season at Newton Abbot Racecourse with the St Austell Brewery Ladies’ Day just days away.

Horseracing enthusiasts from across the region are set to descend upon the racecourse on Tuesday 25th June for the highly anticipated evening fixture.

An event that has become synonymous with glamour, racegoers are once again invited to don their finest clothes for an evening of six thrilling races and the chance to walk away with a hotly contested title in the Best Dressed Series.

Judges will be walking the course throughout the evening to select the contenders for the Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Gent and Best Hat competitions. The racecourse has once again teamed up with local companies to offer some top prizes including a Brewery Tour from St Austell Brewery and theatre tickets from Princess Theatre.

Patrick Masterson, Managing Director at Newton Abbot Racecourse, discussed the forthcoming fixture: “Following the success of last year’s Ladies’ Day, we’re delighted that St Austell Brewery have once again decided to sponsor the day.”

“Without doubt, Ladies’ Day is one of the most popular fixtures of the season and draws in crowds from across the region. Whilst remaining popular with racing enthusiasts, it’s also a fantastic introduction to the sport for complete novices.”

“Whether watching the racing from the Course and Paddock Enclosures, or from the luxury of the VIP Marquee in the centre of the course, we’re sure it’s going to be another unforgettable Ladies’ Day at Newton Abbot.”

Following its popularity in previous years, the racecourse is once again hosting a VIP Marquee in the centre of the course for those looking for a day to remember at the races. The ideal day out for celebrating with friends or for entertaining corporate clients, guests will be treated to a welcome drink, two-course summer buffet and a fashion show hosted by Beau Boutique before the evening’s racing starts.

Following the final race, VIP guests can dance the night away to the sounds of the live band – The Function Keys - and tuck into the chef’s selection of nibbles. The final few tickets for the VIP Marquee are on sale priced at £80 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Course and Paddock Enclosure tickets are on sale now priced at £12 and £18 respectively and will be available on the gate on the day. The first of the evening’s races begins at 6pm with the gates opening for the Course and Paddock Enclosure from 4pm.
