They are especially known for their high-accuracy measurements of low-frequency, low-vibration levels and modes at the 2 to 3 Hz range. Their unique performance attributes and highly compact footprint make them ideally suited for NVH testing within smaller areas of the vehicle, such as automotive interior door panels, dashboards and console vibrations; vehicle suspension systems; booming and external road noise vibration effects; take-off shudder evaluation; engine vibration levels in cooler areas; and torsional vibration measurements. Module design combines either a single model, or three orthogonally block-mounted models, within an epoxy seam-sealed anodized aluminum housing. The use of proprietary manufacturing technologies allows for on-board voltage regulation and an internal voltage reference, making units relatively insensitive to temperature and voltage changes, while eliminating the need for external power amplification and regulation. Carefully regulated manufacturing processes ensure that each sensor is made virtually identical, allowing users to swap out modules with little or no modifications, saving time and resources.
