As a first-time candidate, Conroy brings with him a fresh perspective. His time at Amherst College was dedicated to studying Law and Political Science. During this time, Conroy developed skills necessary to spend his life serving his community. After college, he pursued an enriching opportunity to teach Special Education at Codman Academy. Since then, Conroy has focused on connecting unemployed youth to thousands of open entry-level positions at Boston's top employers while working with Stand for Children and Year Up. As City Councilor, Conroy intends to use his background in organizing to help bring each resident’s voice into City Hall and ensure the highest quality constituent services for all residents. In addition, Conroy avows to “refocus the City to take on the challenge of persistent unemployment for young adults and continue to work closely with Boston Public Schools to ensure that every child has access to a full-service, high-quality school in their neighborhood.” Please join Chris Conroy and other supporters at The Crossing Bar on Mission Hill on Monday, July 1st, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm to celebrate, convene, and connect!
