Dr. Murray J. Williams Appointed Atlanta Technical College VP, Academic Affairs

ATLANTA - July 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Dr. Murray J. Williams has been appointed vice president for academic affairs at Atlanta Technical College in Atlanta, Georgia.  

As the leader of the academic affairs division, Dr. Williams will manage more than 100 associate degree, diploma, and technical certificate programs.  She will oversee library and media services, the student support center, distance learning programs, institutional effectiveness initiatives, and student assessment measures.  Dr. Williams is also charged with supervising the academic deans, full-time faculty, adjunct professors and divisional staff.

Dr. Williams has been serving as the acting vice president of planning and development at Atlanta Technical College since February of this year. Prior to her current role, she served as the director of institutional effectiveness, curriculum and planning.

Dr. Williams has held numerous leadership positions in academia, serving as director of institutional effectiveness and assessment at Luther Rice University; associate research administrator and grants manager at Emory University; and assistant professor of education and SME at Liberty University.  She holds a doctor of education, education specialist, and a master of business administration from Liberty University.  In addition she earned a master of Christian education, a master of arts in biblical counseling and a master of divinity from Luther Rice University.  Dr. Williams received a bachelor of business administration from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS.
