Currently, there is little regulation in most states governing the education of Pharmacy Technicians.  To become Nationally Certified, one only needs to pass the PTCB’s Exam (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board).  Preparation for that exam can be obtained by attending an aforementioned Career School, or by studying books on the subject (i.e. Mosby’s Pharmacy Technician Review).

The curriculum was developed by a Certified Pharmacy Technician with 14 years’ experience practicing in a variety of settings.  After development, it was assessed by a Doctorate of Pharmacy who is preparing to teach Pharmacology at a Post-Doctorate level.
