Steven A. Kirschenbaum Advises Bronx Charter School for Excellence on the Acquisition of Building

NEW YORK - July 24, 2015 - PRLog -- The Bronx Charter School for Excellence, was founded in 2004 as an alternative to the conventional New York City public school program offered to students in the Parkchester Section of the Bronx, NY and serves as an anchor to the revitalization of this area. In order to meet the needs of growing demand for enrollment in the Bronx, the Bronx Charter School for Excellence, has embarked on a program to accommodate demand upon its physical space by acquiring the 6,500 square foot building it presently occupies as well as an adjacent parcel of land. The Bronx Charter School for Excellence will construct a 4,500 square foot addition to its existing building, as well as constructing a 7-story, 35,000 square foot building located on an adjacent, vacant parcel of land in the Bronx, NY.

Steven A. Kirschenbaum served as an advisor to the Bronx Charter School for Excellence in its acquisition of the land and building at 1960 Benedict Avenue, Bronx, NY with $25 million of bond financing provided by BuildNYC. Steven A. Kirschenbaum coordinated a team of professionals including Architects - Cutsogeorge Tooman & Allen, Construction Manager - Pinnacle Contractors of NY, Inc. and Owner’s Representative - Jones Lang LaSalle. Previously, Steven A. Kirschenbaum served as an advisor to the Berkeley Carroll School in Park Slope, Brooklyn in connection with the renovation of its Carroll Street facility and an expansion of its facility at Lincoln Place.
