By: StabMovies.com StabMovies.com first gained notoriety around the release of Scream 4 and has since blossomed into a massive fan franchise, boasting over 11 million views for the 3 Stab movies that have already been released for free, online viewing. “When I first came up with the idea to make the Stab movies, I never imagined it would ever get this big” says founder, writer and director Joshua Patrick Dudley. “The fans have been immensely supportive and we thought it was about time we went out into the public to shake hands, sign autographs and take pictures with the people who helped make our movies so successful.” If you don’t know, the Stab movies are actually a movie series within the Scream movies, based on the events of the Scream movies. Confused yet? So basically, if you watched the first Stab movie, it would be like watching the first Scream movie, with worse actors and dialogue. In Scream 2, we see a glimpse of the first Stab, where Tori Spelling played the Sidney role that Neve Campbell played in the Scream films. “The Stab movies are meant to cheesy and poorly produced. Like a never ending line of sequels who just run out of original storylines and characters,” Dudley and his team of actors plan to make 5 stab movies all together and have already released Stab 4, Stab 5 and Stab 6. Stab 7 will begin production later this year as will the Second Annual Trifecta of Terror, which contains 3 short horror films for Halloween. “People always ask why we started with Stab 4 and not the first Stab movie,” executive producer/cofounder Rachel Alexandria Arnold explains, “but, Josh and I both decided that we didn’t simply want to remake the Scream movies, we wanted to have some creative freedom, so we started where the Scream movies left off. Stab 4 is even subtitled “Fresh Blood” because we wanted the audience to know not to expect a Scream re-make.” Both Joshua and Rachel are excited for their FantaCon debut. At the festival, they will be hosting a “Stab-A-Thon,” For more information please visit www.fantacon.com and www.stabmovies.com . End
