By: Belle Isle Conservancy “Belle Isle has new treasures with these great works of art on view for everyone,” says BIC President Michele Hodges. “We are so happy to have the support of the City of Detroit Recreation Department with the DIA to have this installation happen. Inside|Out is yet another great reason to visit Belle Isle Park.” List of Inside|Out installations and locations at Belle Isle Park: · Sunset Point, Casino Way Bude Sands at Sunset – John Randall Brett · North Fishing Pier, Riverbank Dr Woman in Armchair – Pierre Auguste Renoir · Bath Lunch Pavilion, Riverside Dr Berenice Reproaching Ptolemy – Jean-Joseph Taillasson · Playscape, Central Ave Mother and Child – Unknown (Yoruba, African) · Aquarium/ Gladioli, Claude Monet · Dossin Great Lakes Museum, The Strand Colonel John Montresor – John Singleton Copley · Softball Fields, Vista Dr Asafo Flag – Unknown (Fante, African) · Nature Zoo, East Lakeside Dr Animals in Landscape – Franz Marc The DIA will be working with several area organizations to plan educational opportunities and other fun activities throughout the next couple of months.
