The Privacy-Centric Social Network

PRLog -- Sgrouples
®, the world’
s forward-thinking private social network, today announces its new Member Search feature, allowing its users to find their friends and family in the rapidly growing safe social network.
“We’
re seeing a growing trend away from networks that search and scrape your private data - like Facebook - towards services like Sgrouples, that respect user privacy,”
says Sgrouples CEO Mark Weinstein. “We’
ve built Sgrouples as a safe-haven for people who want to communicate online with people and groups they actually know. The new Member Search feature makes it possible for Sgrouples members to safely find their friends, family, and professional contacts without allowing strangers to view their groups, posts, connections, or content.”
How It Works:• Sgrouples members can now opt-in to having their profile searchable by other Sgrouples members. Members click the “My Profile”
button at the top-right corner of their Sgrouples account and opt in to the new Member Search service.
• Members fill in the optional information about themselves. This allows them to control what is searchable by other Sgrouples members.
• Members are able to find others and invite them to become "Contacts" together. Invitations can be accepted, declined, or blocked. As Contacts, members can discreetly share groups, photos, direct messages, and much more, just like real life.
“Sgrouples is built on the core values of safety and privacy –two words that a lot of companies talk about but ignore in their treatment of customers,”
says Weinstein. “Our new Member Search feature, like all new Sgrouples services, has been designed and tested based on these core values.”
“We built Member Search to replicate real life. Unlike other companies like Facebook, Google+, and LinkedIn, that allow strangers to search for you and see who you are connected to, as well as to view some or all of your posted content, and other details of your life, Sgrouples does it differently. Our mission is to give you a natural way to search, just like the phone book used to.“
“Sgrouples is building what some people have called the "Whole Foods" of the Internet social media industry,”
Weinstein says. “It has been likened to the green building movement that has achieved remarkable momentum worldwide by being conscientious about creating buildings in partnership with core values of respecting nature, partnership with earth, integrity, and value-based trust. Similarly, Sgrouples stands on the very same principles. Today, this is called "Conscious Capitalism,” and it is championed by forward thinking individuals and the companies they lead. It is about doing the right thing, being respectful and in sustainable, trusting partnerships with people and earth, adhering to core values of respect, integrity, and ethics.”
