SGS Center for NDT Training and Examination Successfully Passed BINDT Audit Again

July 10, 2013 - PRLog -- SGS is very proud to announce that its NDT Training and Examination Center once again successfully passed the annual British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) re-assessment of an Authorized Qualifying Body (AQB) and surveillance of an Approved Training Organization (ATO) audits with zero non-compliance reports (NCR) on 21 June 2013. Back in 2008, SGS was the first company in history of both BINDT and PCN (Personnel Certification of NDT) which achieved zero NCR in each of the AQB and ATO examinations.

British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT)

The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) (http://www.bindt.org/) is an accredited Independent Certifying Body which offers certification services around the world. SGS is very proud to own the title of the first ever AQB and ATO to have passed the initial BINDT accreditation audits with a perfect zero non-conformance score and is exceptionally proud to have retained a 100% success rate.

SGS is permitted by BINDT accreditation to conduct training and examinations in accordance with BINDT requirements worldwide. The requirement of safety compliance and quality assurance is more and more important. Manufacturers, consumers and the general public depend on the competence, judgment and integrity of the professional personnel involved in providing this security through superior training and examination.

The certification program is managed by BINDT, but the pre-examination training is conducted by the ATOs and the PCN examinations are carried out and controlled by the AQBs. British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing ceaselessly and vigorously audits all ATO and AQB partners to assure quality and maintain standards. The SGS NDT Training and Examination Center enjoys the prestigious distinction as the first permanent establishment in China to offer both ATO and AQB services in both the Chinese and English languages.

SGS trains and certifies to the highest inspection standards as a BINDT Accredited Training Organization and Authorized Qualifying Body, and is accredited to conduct both the mandatory pre-examination training and PCN examinations for Levels 1,2 and 3. SGS Shanghai Facility

The SGS Shanghai NDT Training and Examination Center provides advanced NDT training and often conducts ultrasonic testing of TKY welds (Nodes & Nozzles) as well as Level 3 consultancy services. SGS experts are able to deliver training and examinations anywhere in the world, although the main facility is based in Shanghai. The Chinese facility has, however, become a popular choice among candidates from all over the world who are registering for initial training courses or recertification examinations at the Shanghai location.
