MAKING AIRWAVES: "Women to Watch" host Susan Rocco moves to WWDB TALK 860

PHILADELPHIA - July 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Few things make a woman feel more independent than taking charge of her career path and exceeding expectations—an accomplishment radio personality Susan Rocco (http://wwdbam.com/content/women-watch-0) has made look easy. Just a few weeks prior to Independence Day, Susan completed negotiations with WWDB TALK 860 to bring her show, "Women to Watch," over from WFYL 1180 and swap her Saturdays at 3PM time for a more popular time slot of 2PM on Mondays.  And now that everyone is finished celebrating America's freedom, Susan is ready to rejoice in her newfound ability to take her show to a larger, more diverse audience with Philadelphia’s original talk station, WWDB.

Since starting the show in 2012, Susan has consistently connected listeners to notable women in business, education, motivational coaching and leadership. This list includes Clare Munn, CEO and Founder of The Communication Group; Nell Merlino, President of Count Me In, and Founder of Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day; Natalie Mashaal, former “Oprah” producer and current CEO of Mashaal Media Corporation, and later this month, designer Norma Kamali.

These renowned guests’ participation is a testament to the show’s overall quality and concept, and support Susan’s mission to spotlight both high profile women and those just starting out equally. Rather than feeling intimidated or inadequate, she hopes listeners will become inspired.

Coming up next, Susan will talk with Mary Fran Bontempo, author of “Not Ready For Granny Panties”—The 11 Commandments for Avoiding Granny Panties; Amy Elizabeth Heller, Founder and President of WGIRLS INC.; and small business tax advisor Christine Trumbull.

Says WWDB General Manager and Host Barry Reisman, “We are delighted to welcome Susan and the show to the station.  “Women to Watch” is compelling, entertaining and has all the elements for success. Susan’s vibrant personality, strong interview skills and fascinating roster of guests will be a great asset to WWDB.”

By providing a platform where women feel comfortable and moved to open up, Susan continually challenges the listeners to examine their own value and purpose.
