The Local Salon, an all organic hair color salon opens in the N. Hollywood Arts District!!!

PALM HARBOR, Fla. - July 15, 2013 - PRLog -- The Local had an official grand opening on Sunday, July 14th 2013. The party showcased information on the Organic Color Systems ammonia free hair color line, as well as offering a chance to get to know the staff and all they have to offer. There was also food, drinks and entertainment.

The Local Salon is a new twist on an old institution. For years women have come together to the beauty parlor to commiserate and discuss the events of their lives. However, the beauty parlor of the old days was filled with poisonous cancer causing chemicals...The Local aims to bring back the essence of the beauty parlor, just with a healthier more Eco friendly twist.

As a Organic Salon Systems Concept Salon we take great pride in practicing an Eco-Friendly lifestyle. When creating The Local we took great care to make sure everything in the building of the salon was gentle to the environment. The wood and steel used is all reclaimed and recycled, and much of the furniture is gently used as well as many repurposed materials.

After years of doing hair and having clients complain of burning eyes, itchy scalp and rashes we realized there needed to be a change in the way we do things. Why would we pay so much money to suffer discomfort and put our health in jeopardy? All for vanity? There had to be a different way.
