LINCOLNTON, N.C. - July 16, 2013 - PRLog -- In the wake of the Zimmerman trial, many people gathered outside the court house in Florida to protest the outcome of the trial.  Some
people feel justice was served because the justice process was followed; Zimmerman (http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/13/justice/zimmerman-trial) was tried by a jury of his peers and found not guilty.

To begin with, let’s look at everyday life as opposed to one particular case, the likes of which we will never know the full story anyway.  More than likely when you leave your home you lock the doors; you may even have a security system that will alert the authorities if an intruder enters your house.  You do this so second nature that you don’t even realize it, the pitiful thing is that in America we have so much that the poorest among us are still richer than at least three quarters of the world. So why then is there so much crime in this country?  Why are people driven to crime, thus putting fear into the heart of man so that he feels the need to secure himself, family, and belongings?  The answer isn’t as complicated as it seems; Webster defines crime as an action, or an instance of negligence, that is legally prohibited.  So in order for there to be a crime there must first be a law that is broken either through negligence or action.  Jesus addressed in Matthew events that will take place in the last days and among these events there is one that sticks out to me. In Matthew 24:12 Jesus says “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold”. In the Strong’s Concordance the word iniquity is translated into lawlessness, or transgressor of the law.   This begs the question, what law? The answer is simple, the moral law, the Ten Commandments (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+20&...).  It’s not man’s law that causes the love of many to grow cold, because man’s law isn’t always moral.  According to the government in this country you can murder (http://www.bible.ca/s-Abortion.htm) your unborn child if you so choose.  Under Hitler’s rule it was acceptable to kill Jewish people, and or anyone that opposed Hitler’s plans.

It’s because people have broken God’s commandments that have caused us as a whole to stop loving each other.  Think about it like this, do you really trust your neighbor?  Do you think that your fellow man really has your best interest at heart?  The loss of love starts with lack of trust, you can’t love someone that you don’t trust, that is where the enemy (Satan) has got most of the world today.  He convinces us that we are all alone and that no one can be trusted, and if you buy into that, all you will see is doubt and despair and your life will be consumed by thoughts of self preservation.  It is love that makes the difference. If we keep looking at each other as enemies, then we will never see things in truth.  If we surrender to Christ and let Him teach us what love is and how to love one another, we will have been faithful to His commandments as well as to each other.  When someone asks you to go a mile with them go two, give to all who ask of you and don’t seek reimbursement, love your enemies, love your neighbor, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you.

Let Love reign!
