In between songwriting and touring, Kim Cameron and Side FX makes it a point to perform at events that allow them to give back to causes that are close to them beginning with a performance on Veteran's Day at the Walter Reed Medical Center.

In 2010, they devoted hundreds of hours and expenses to the injured service men and women, contributing in free concerts last year, performing at Veteran's Medical Centers across the country.  They also performed an internet UStream benefit concert for a low income retirement home in DC, and finished the year at the LA Boys and Girl's Club, giving away hundred's of toys, just in time for Christmas.

A driving force for Kim Cameron and her band Side FX is for those who serve in the Armed Forces.

After meeting a disheartened soldier and hearing his story, Kim was compelled to write "My Hero" in honor of the men and women who have dedicated their lives to keep citizens safe.

In efforts to raise awareness for issues facing returning, active duty soldiers, as well as our Nation's Veterans, the band continues to work with various organizations.
