Stylish earphones sound great for their price

July 24, 2013 - PRLog -- We get sent a lot of fairly expensive and cheap earphones to review, but while expensive earphones are often excellent, not everyone who’s fed up with the free earphones that came with their Apple iPod, iPad, iPhone,MP3 player wants to spend over $50 on an upgrade. In fact there are many quality alternatives for much less than this, of which the Syllable T18 earphones are a great example.


While this earphone is within the budget of most listeners, it looks and sounds as good as many more expensive earphones. It comes with a neat travel pouch, and a clip to keep the cable tidy. The metal, bullet-shaped earphones are finished in black and red, with distinctive red cabling. They fitted comfortably, regardless of whether we wrapped the cable round the back of our ears or left it hanging free.

Syllable T18 earphones come with silicone sleeves that act as passive noise-cancelation devices, keeping you close to your favorite music. By sealing off the  ear canal, the drivers inside the earbuds can reproduce notes with incredible fidelity without requiring obscene amounts of power or volume. The Syllable headphones are among the most impressive-sounding earbuds we reviewed, so it’s no surprise that these no-frills headphones made it to this level in our review.

The treble and mid-range are not compromised either- the earphones could sound very slightly harsh at high volumes, but were generally clear and well-balanced. There’s plenty of volume all round, too. They’re among the loudest earphones we’ve heard in quite some time. There are fantastic earphones for the money, particularly if you add a set of sound-isolating ear foams that would increase their ability to block noise. The Syllable T18 earphone is compatible with Apple iPod, iPad, iPhone. They are our best buy, not least because they sound almost as good as Beats earphone but costs less and is more comfortable.
