Orang Utan Republik Foundation Invites Public To Celebrity Fundraiser In Beverly Hills This Sunday

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - July 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Orangutans, found in the wild on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra in Indonesia and Malaysia, are critically endangered and their numbers continue to dwindle. In response, an annual fundraiser benefiting the Orang Utan Republik Foundation (OURF) will help fund programs promoting the species long-term survival.

The public is invited to show their support for orangutans and contribute to their long-term survival at this very special event the evening on Sunday, July 28, 2013,  between 5-8pm.

Local and Hollywood celebrities supporters who will be in attendance will include actors Ed Begley Jr. and Bruce Dern. Fritz Coleman, local NBC weatherman and stand-up comic, will serve as emcee.  

This year’s event theme, "Up the River", describes how one must travel to visit orangutans in Borneo as well as the species’ dilemma if we don’t help save them.

The intimate event will feature music and native dance as well as a silent auction. Vegan and non-vegan food will also be served.
