BRADENTON, Fla. - July 29, 2013 - PRLog -- The 2014 Chevy Sonic (http://www.coxchevy.com/models/2014-chevrolet-sonic/) will cycle through two limited edition colors during its run, starting with Deep Magenta Metallic. Chevy expects that the color will appeal strongly to the Sonic's younger demographic, as well as those looking for a more unique look for their vehicle. The new Sonic will be available later this year at Cox Chevy in Bradenton, one of the area's top Chevy dealerships.

“We know that about one-third of our Sonic buyers note exterior color as an ‘extremely important’ factor in their purchase process – a higher percentage than other small car buyers,” said Michelle Killen, lead creative designer in General Motors’ color and trim studio and exterior paint expert for Chevrolet.

After replacing the Inferno Orange color option, Chevy worked extensively with fashion experts to find which colors would best match with rising trends. Magenta was chosen after the success of the Techno Pink option on the Chevrolet Spark.

Following Deep Magenta Metallic, from November until March, the Sonic will be available in Cool Blue, described by Chevy as a “greyish, dirty blue.” Dragon Green will then follow as a permanent addition to the 2014 color lineup.

Both the 2013 Sonic hatchback and sedan have been popular choices with drivers looking for a low-priced, well-equipped compact vehicle. Its sporty nature, as showcased in Chevy's Find New Roads Ad during the 2013 Grammys, has helped to increase its appeal among younger drivers.

Features currently available on the Sonic include:

    •    Chevy's MyLink system, with a 7-inch color display, SiriusXM radio, navigation, and more

    •    Bluetooth connectivity for handsfree calling

    •    Steering-wheel mounted controls

    •    A 60/40 split rear bench seat, allowing for more storage options

Drivers can learn more about the upcoming 2014 Chevy Sonic at Cox Chevy in Bradenton, or visit the dealership for a test drive of the 2013 model. Cox Chevy is located at 2900 Cortez Road W. in Bradenton, just a quarter of a mile to the west of the Sweetbay Supermarket.
