Virginia Governor's Race on WUSA 9: The Candidates Mean Business About Business

WASHINGTON - July 30, 2013 - PRLog -- WUSA 9 Anchor Derek McGinty will moderate a forum for Virginia gubernatorial candidates Ken Cuccinelli and Terry McAuliffe on August 9^th at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Mannassas from 10am until 12:30pm.

The forum is co-sponsored by Chambers of Commerce from Prince William and Loudoun counties, and the cities of Fredericksburg and the Reston. It will focus on issues impacting Virginia business. McGinty and the heads of each Chamber of Commerce will question each candidate separately for one hour in front of an audience of Chamber members.

In addition to hosting the forum, McGinty will anchor a special Virginia Governors Race Edition of WUSA9’s 7pm newscast the same evening. The broadcast will include highlights from the forum and analysis and fact checking by a team from USA Today.

WUSA9’s special forum coverage is a continuation of its commitment to bring viewers key political information and analysis that began during the 2012 campaign when they first partnered with USA Today for the Political/Candidate Truth Test. That project included analysis and fact checking in WUSA9 News at 11 immediately following all of the presidential debates.
