BRADENTON, Fla. - July 30, 2013 - PRLog -- J.D. Power has given the 2013 Chevrolet Volt, Avalanche, and Sonic models top honors in the 2013 Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout Study (APEAL), netting Chevrolet more APEAL awards than any other auto manufacturer. The annual awards are given to the most highly rated model in each vehicle segment according to a poll of new vehicle owners and leasers. These three 2013 Chevy models (http://www.coxchevy.com/new-inventory/) can be found at Cox Chevy in Bradenton, one of the top dealerships in the Bradenton area.

“We are driven by the positive recognition from our customers on the things they love about our vehicles,” said Alicia Boler-Davis, senior vice president of Global Quality and Global Customer Experience at Chevrolet. “This is a key measure of how successful we are at exciting and delighting our customers.”

For this year's APEAL study, J.D. Power compared responses to a detailed questionnaire from more than 83,000 drivers of 2013 model year vehicles. The survey polled drivers on 77 different vehicle attributes in eight different categories, including:

   •     Performance and design

   •     Engine and transmission

   •     Handling and braking

   •     Comfort and convenience

   •     The interior, including the seats, instrument panel, and overall driver's area

   •     Heating, ventilation, and cooling

   •     Vehicle styling and look of the exterior

As one of Chevy's most innovative new models, the 2013 Volt (http://www.coxchevy.com/models/2013-chevrolet-volt/) combines the benefits of both an electric and a gasoline powered vehicle. With a rechargeable battery and a gasoline generator, the Volt gives drivers maximum efficiency without having to worry about the short range of most electric models.

The Sonic continues to be a popular choice in the compact class thanks to its affordability, performance, and strong interior styling.

The Avalanche, though in its last model year, offers drivers both the benefits of an SUV and a pickup truck, making it one of the most versatile models on the market.

Drivers interested in taking the Volt, the Sonic, or the Avalanche out for a test drive are encouraged to stop by Cox Chevy in Bradenton. Their dealership is located at 2900 Cortez Road W., just a quarter of a mile to the west of the Sweetbay Supermarket. As one of the area's top Chevy dealerships for over 80 years, the Cox family is proud to continue to offer quality customer service. Drivers with questions are encouraged to contact the dealership (http://www.coxchevy.com/directions-hours/).
