Business as usual for Marflow Engineering Ltd

BIRMINGHAM, U.K. - July 31, 2013 - PRLog -- The announcement by the administrators of Silverdale Bathrooms that the company was to cease trading came as much as a shock to Marflow as anyone else.  Marflow developed a single range of sanitaryware for the St James Collection in 2010 with BC Sanitan, as a vehicle to display the St James Collection brassware.  This association continued with Silverdale when the new company was formed, with Silverdale purely as a supplier and not involving any financial partnership between the two companies.

Rumours that Marflow had gone into administration or liquidation as a result of this association with Silverdale are firmly denied by Marflow’s Managing Director, David Gannon, “Nothing could be further from the truth and it’s very much business as usual for Marflow.  We are obviously saddened at the demise of one of our suppliers, but this has had a minimal effect on our business as we are essentially a brassware manufacturer.  The sanitaryware is a small part of our business which can be very easily replaced by another manufacturer”  says Gannon.

Marflow are in the fortunate position of owning the sanitaryware moulds and are already in talks with other UK sanitaryware manufacturers.  With a moderate level of stock in their warehouse and the moulds ready to hand over to new manufacturer, retailers can be assured that the supply of the St James Collection sanitaryware will continue with minimum disruption.  
The manufacture and supply of the St James Collection brassware, NOW and PL8/4 brands are unaffected.
