STW Augments its ESX-3Xx Controller Family With an Analog Output Expansion Board

NORCROSS, Ga. - Aug. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- STW Technic, a premier manufacturer of mobile controllers and measurement technology, today announced the addition of an Analog Output Expansion Board to their popular ESX- 3Xx electronic controller line.

 STW has established a reputation for flexibility with its unique expansion board architecture.  Its flagship product family consists of the ESX-3XL and ESX-3XM and offers six and three expansion board slots respectively.  Expansion boards cover a wide variety of I/O, networking and datalogging options, with fourteen (14) different variants available, thus making the STW controllers highly customizable without the delay or risk of normal custom development. The newest addition to the list of expansion boards is the Analog Output Board or EB11.  This board provides six (6) analog outputs and six (6) analog inputs plus a 2 - 10.5V sensor supply.

 The analog outputs can be configured by software as 10V voltage outputs with a maximum of 10mA or as 20mA current outputs with a maximum of 15V.  These outputs are essential to performing certain types of control of electrical actuators for valves, diesel engine throttles, current to current converters for DC motors and Sauer Danfoss Series 90 pumps. 

The analog inputs can be configured by software as 5, 10, or 40V measurements; as 25mA measurements; or as 6.5kΩ resistance measurement for direct connection of RTD's, thermistors and thermocouples.
