SWANSEA, Wales - Aug. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- New Make Something Beautiful Gower Workshops Launched - Speed Crafting

Gower Hen Parties are hosting an event at the Junction Cafe, Mumbles Road, Swansea SA3 5AS for people to pop in and make lots of beautiful little things out of vintage items, paper and driftwood on Saturday 19 October 2013 from 12.30 - 5.30pm. There will be 5 different mini-craft sessions (1 hour long) taking place on the day which people can sign up for in advance and will be rather like speed dating!

Jane Haines, from Port Eynon and various other Gower crafters will be running taster workshops to show people how to make driftwood hearts, garlands, soap and even a great paper bag out of an old atlas!

"We hope people will enjoy seeing how easy it is to make beautiful things," says Jane Haines who gathers lovely driftwood from Gower beaches to make amazing decorations. "We really want to show people that you don't have to spend a lot of money to make great things for yourself and your home. We think that our Make Something Beautiful Workshops will be popular with people, as we hurtle towards Christmas."

"These mini workshops are the speed dating of the craft world. It will give people a taste of lots of different crafts and allow them to find out what they really love;" says Patricia Hodge, of Gower Hen Parties.

"We hope people of all generations will come along and learn how to make beautiful things and then package them with vintage material, twine, buttons and ribbons to make them look sensational".

The Make Something Beautiful Craft event costs £15.00 per person and includes tea/coffee and delicious afternoon cake. Extra food supplies can be purchased from the Junction Cafe, Mumbles, Swansea downstairs, too. A selection of Welsh art and craft items will be available to buy on the day.
