Most recently, he was Direct to Consumer Manager, EMEA, for Treasury Wine Estates, the largest listed wine company in the world, a manufacturing and import business looking to move into the world of e-commerce. Prior to that, he was Head of Digital Marketing at Whirlpool UK, the largest home appliances manufacturer in the world, responsible for the set-up and roll-out of e-commerce and direct sales. Before that, Waters spent 3 years at British Airways, latterly in charge of social media and mobile at a global level, setting strategy and driving through initiatives to drive brand awareness and maintain customer service, and formerly as Digital Marketing Manager, Middle East and Asia Pacific, driving revenue increases of 95% versus previous years through digital marketing initiatives employed throughout the region. Waters started his marketing career in the world of mobile, firstly at Panasonic, and then Motorola TTPCom. A fluent Japanese and German speaker with an excellent knowledge of Asia, his background also includes stints in Japan as an International Relations Adviser, and voluntary work in Indonesia. He holds a BA Hons. in German & Japanese from Cardiff University and an MA in East Asian Studies from Durham University.
