The West University staff decided as a group to offer their services and donate chair massages at the hospital. Laetan Gaspard, Clinic Administrator for Massage Envy West University, says, “It was incredibly touching and heartwarming, yet gut-wrenching all at the same time.” “The three massage therapists went straight to work in the pseudo massage rooms we had set up, while I met and visited with the family members and victims of the fire. Hearing the stories of everything they had been through really put things in perspective. “Mr. Watt wasn’t able to make it, but other members of the Houston Texans did and visited with everyone. The therapists were hands on from the moment we got there until the moment we left. People loved it. Every minute of our time was used, and we even stayed a little after for an extra person or two. We told the family members to give us a call if they needed anything at all. “The therapists were extremely touched, as was I, seeing how these people are trying to cope in the wake of the tragedy. Afterward, Mr. Watt called and thanked us for everything. He appreciated what we did, and the families appreciated it even more.” “I am so happy that we could help these families,” states Cheruvu. “They are living with more than most of us can imagine right now. I couldn’t ask for a better staff. There wasn’t a question in anyone’s mind that this was the right thing to do. And I want to thank J.J.
