During a reception held on Tuesday, August 13 at the Holiday Inn in Johnstown, New York, Larry Camerlin, Founder and President and Jim Cear, Chairman of the Board and Volunteer Pilot of Angel Flight Northeast, along with first responders from New York State, were honored for their heroic efforts both in the air and on the ground. More than 100 guests attended this reception to pay tribute to those who dedicate their lives to helping others in need. "On behalf of the entire Angel Flight Northeast organization, I want to thank the New York State Legislature along with Assemblyman Butler and Mr. Landrio for recognizing the dedication of our volunteer pilots, earth angel volunteers and staff,” said Larry Camerlin, President of Angel Flight Northeast. “We are truly honored and also humbled by this recognition. Entering our 18th year of service, Angel Flight Northeast’s mission is to ensure distance is never a barrier to those who require access to life-saving medical care that is not readily available to them.” “Angel Flight Northeast provides such compassion and care to the people of New York and throughout the Northeast that require medical service far away from their homes,” said Assemblyman Mark Butler. “The people involved do not charge for their service, in fact, the volunteers pay for all expenses related to the flights.
