Follow on Google News | Record Breakers: The Youngest A-Level and GCSE Class ever?EIE has produced the youngest class of A-Level and GCSE students, this year, which includes inner-city pupils as young as 7.

Children as young as Seven wrote the GCSE Maths exam along with 8-year-old Samuel Brant. This group also included his 9-year-old sister, Laurelle Brant, who has obtained scholarships to the top-performing schools including achieving the highest marks ever (100%) in the Kent entrance exams. This was achieved via the EIE programme, where she also passed Foundations of Advanced Mathematics. Other Excellence in Education (EIE) Programme students include World Record Breakers, Peter and Paula Imafidon - who currently hold the record for the youngest pupils ever to pass University of Cambridge advanced Maths exam at the tender age of 8 - will be the youngest students to pass A-Level Further Maths this year. The precocious pair were responsible for mentoring the new crop of 7 and 8-year-olds who will find out their A-level results tomorrow, and GCSE Maths results next week. NOTES TO EDITOR 1) Excellence in Education (EIE) programme is a non-profit, non-governmental international programme that works with schools, local groups, companies and charities interested in the educational development of students in inner-cities and any children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Current work is concentrated in Essex, London Boroughs of Newham, Tower Hamlets, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Enfield and Lewisham; and EIE also has students in Manchester, Luton, Kent and Essex.
