Scheduled auditions with Artistic Director Ernest Busubardis III will last 10 minutes and include vocal exercises, simple music sight-reading and part-singing. An accompanist will be provided. Mary Stephani, the newly elected WCU president, said the 40-member coed group is always looking for new talent of all ages from throughout the Milwaukee metropolitan area. “We have a need for all vocal types, in particular male tenors,” Stephani said. “Our members enjoy a collegial atmosphere with others who share an interest in showcasing and enriching their musical abilities.” About the Season The 2013-2014 WCU season features the theme of “Light.” It includes an Oct. 26 performance of “Requiem,” Performance venues include Shattuck Auditorium at Carroll University, St. Luke’s Church and St. William Parish, all in Waukesha as well as St. Catherine’s Church, in Oconomowoc. . About Waukesha Choral Union Active in the community for more than 60 years, the Waukesha Choral Union’s roots date back to 1949. A combined group composed of the Carroll College Chorus and community members of the Waukesha Choral Society became the Town and Gown in 1961. The group became the Waukesha Choral Union in 1974.
