The Third Annual RICE Awards Announces Official Nominees for 2013

ATLANTA - Aug. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- The 3rd Annual RICE Awards Announces the Official Nominees for 2013

On Tuesday July 31, 2013, the Rising in Community Excellence Awards (RICE Awards) released the official nominee list for the 2013 season. The RICE Awards were created three years ago by C. Chandon Carter of Carter Unlimited, Entrepreneur, Relationship Advocate, Speaker, Actor, Media Personality and Philanthropist. In 2011, Carter created The Rising Star Award, which was given out annually at The Gospel Choice Awards, with the plans in 2013 to create this award show as a standalone celebration. This award, now known as The RICE Awards, is given to individuals who exemplify excellence in their business by edifying the community. RICE award nominees are innovative and charitable visionaries who recognize the importance of their presence and contribution to the community. The awards honor individuals whose reach is far beyond the four walls of the traditional church whose hard work and efforts have great impact on the community. The nominees are chosen in the areas of Business, Entertainment, Non-Profit, Media, Media, Youth Achievement, Government, Sustainable, and Entrepreneurship.

The RICE Awards will take place on September 12, 2013 at Spring Hall Atlanta 7130 Buford Hwy. The nominee list includes a mixture of celebrities and the everyday person serving in various areas of the community. Entertainment will be provided by R&B singing group The Rude Boys, who are also 2013 nominees for their contributions towards The Trayvon Martin Foundation, with "Believe in Love" an inspirational song featuring TRICK DADDY.
