Colorado District Selects Textbook Inventory Management System

AUSTIN, Texas - Aug. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Mesa County Valley School District 51 (D51) has awarded Hayes Software Systems a contract to provide a district-wide Textbook Inventory Software System and Support Services to improve the management and analysis of instructional resources throughout the district. D51, which serves approximately 22,000 students, will now be able to track and report on instructional inventory usage across its 47 school buildings, allowing for a single, streamlined database solution.

With TIPWeb-IM, the district will benefit from a comprehensive web-based system that integrates material purchasing, transfers, physical audits, assignments, and fees management information in one centralized system.  The software simplifies administrative functions and reporting while facilitating school-to-district communication and staff collaboration.  The end result will improve inventory and data accuracy, but with reduced manual data entry.

The TIPWeb-IM software system will provide D51 school administrators simplified methods to track and manage their instructional material inventory with specialized assignment and retention processes of student and teacher resources. Schools also plan to inventory other assets like the calculators and dictionaries used for both instruction and assessment.

Through the competitive RFP (request for proposal) solicitation process, a team of district and school level staff selected TIPWeb-IM as their software of choice to track and analyze inventory availability and retention.  Hayes’ proposed solution will include its TIPWeb-IM software for inventory management, automated system integration for the districts’ Synergy®student information system, professional development services, and consulting services that will aid D51 in the transition to a centralized inventory management system.
