ATLANTA - Aug. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- I Am A Queen Foundation hosted Girl Mind Your Business for young inspiring girl entrepreneurs August 18, 2013 in Atlanta, GA at Future Vision. The event hosted by award winning actress Demetria McKinney and I Am A Queen Foundation Founder Queen Aftan moderated an esteemed panel of entrepreneuHERS influential in the Atlanta community and powerful forces in business. 12-year-old singer and dancer Aleacea also entertained the Queens-in-training with a special performance of her hit single “Mean Girlz.”

Demetria McKinney and Queen Aftan kicked off the event with each panelist and guest introducing themselves as “I am Queen…” The panel of entrepreneuHERs included Christal Jordan, April Ann McCrae, Sheri Riley, Saptosa Foster, Tina Fears, Robin Marshall, Shearan Heron, DJ Rockabell, Diane Regular Lay, and Bella Rina. The businesswomen candidly discussed and answered questions from the young girls about the highs and lows of entrepreneurship as a woman. “I am truly honored to be a part of such a distinguished panel of amazing women and to have the ability to share my wisdom with the Queens-in-training” said Christal Jordan, President of Enchanted PR, a premiere entertainment PR firm based in Atlanta, GA. “I love the message of the I Am Queen Foundation and will continue to supports its effort to uplift and educate young women.”

Junior Queen singer and dancer Aleacea inspired the little Queens to speak up against bullying and performed her single “Mean Girlz.” The 12-year-old and her dancers received a standing ovation from the girls and women who were proud of her for making such a brave stance to end bullying once and for all. The Girl Mind Your Business event ended with a fun raffle drawing and closed out with prayer and well wishes for the young Queens. Guests also enjoyed h’orderves and colorful drinks provided by the Bow Tie Chef.

“I think it was a fabulous event for young girls 10-18 years old to hear from the caliber of female entrepreneurs on the panel at such a beautiful venue like Future Vision,” said Queen Aftan, the Founder of I Am A Queen Foundation. “It went well with the motto of I Am A Queen Foundation which is transforming the mindset of a girl into the mindset of a Queen.”
