With the emphasis on fun, entertainment and education, the 2013 Denver Post Pedal The Plains offers three outstanding options for riders to take in the majestic Southeastern Colorado plains: The 3-Day Tour: The most fun and rowdy ride includes two overnight stays with a “State Fair-like” celebration each night. On Saturday, riders will make their way from Lamar to La Junta for their next overnight on Sept. 21, then will return to Eads from La Junta on Sunday, Sept. 22. The Family Fun Ride: this enjoyable, flat, 6-mile ride provides riders of all abilities to cruise through Eads and the Kiowa County Fairgrounds on Sunday, Sept. 22.
