Scion Announces Pricing and New Features for 2014 Models

The 2014 Scion lineup, which will arrive at dealerships later this year, will feature a touchscreen audio system standard on all models.
 
FOX LAKE, Ill. - Aug. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- In order to cater to youthful drivers, Scion is upgrading its entire 2014 lineup – plus all xB models produced in August or later – with touchscreens while keeping price increases to a minimum. The new audio system will be full-featured with Bluetooth capability, an auxiliary jack, HD radio compatibility, and a USB port in addition to FM/AM radio and CD functionality. This new system will seamlessly integrate with MP3 players, smartphones, and other devices. The 6.1-inch touchscreen will allow occupants to quickly and easily control the sound system with just a touch of a finger.

For an additional $1198, drivers will have the option of upgrading any 2014 Scion vehicle with a BeSpoke Premium Audio system, which features the Aha radio app. It also adds features like navigation and social media integration, plus access to tens of thousands of free digital radio stations.

The 2014 Scion xD will go on sale with a starting MSRP of just $16,675 for the manual version and $17,475 for the automatic. It will feature two new dual-tone paint options, available for an additional $500: Black Sand Pearl with contrasting Magnetic Gray Metallic, and Classic Silver Metallic paired with Sparkling Sea Metallic. The 2014 Scion FR-S, with its starting price of $25,455, will receive new front-seat knee cushions on the doors and center console. It comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, with the six-speed automatic costing an extra $1,100.

Also new for 2014 is a limited Monogram Series edition of the Scion iQ. Equipped with a cutting-edge continuously variable transmission for better performance and efficiency, this special edition iQ will start at $17,275. It will feature a dual-tone color scheme with Classic Silver Metallic accenting Black Currant Metallic, color-keyed spoiler and external mirrors, exclusive floor mats with the iQ logo, and premium alloy wheels. The standard iQ will have a starting MSRP of $16,420.
