Follow on Google News | DJB Haulage Gains With New Addition From Finlay Plant SWDevon-based DJB Haulage has gained a new product and saved on the potential outlay of another machine with new plant from Terex Finlay, supplied by Finlay Plant SW.
By: Shepherd PR The company has replaced its previous combination of a 683 inclined screen and 595 mobile scalping unit with a new Terex Finlay 684 inclined screen with a four way split. The new 684 is transforming recycling operations for the business. Under the new process, recycled concrete is fed into a Terex Finlay 883 heavy duty screen to take off fines, before over-size clean material goes into a Terex Finlay J1175 Jaw Crusher. This material is then fed to the new 684, which delivers valuable, single size products of 40mm, 20mm and 10mm, as well as dust. Previously the J1175 fed into a Terex Finlay 595 with 45mm mesh and then a Terex Finlay 683 with two decks – producing three clean products of 40mm and 20mm, as well as 15mm to zero. Gareth Johnson, MD of Finlay Plant SW, helped DJB Haulage to specify the plant on site to enhance productivity. Gareth said: “With the new 684, DJB Haulagehas gained a product and reduced the number of machines it operates. “Current productivity is around 150 tonnes an hour and the processed material is used for applications including pipefill and construction sites.” Derek Brooking, of DJB Haulage, said: “The new 684 is proving very useful and productive. It does exactly what we wanted it to. “We also benefit from excellent service from Finlay Plant SW, who we have a long-standing relationship with.
