DARIEN, Conn. - Sept. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Featured Artist, September: Liron Sissman

New Jersey resident Liron Sissman's oil paintings have been featured in shows in New York, New Jersey, and throughout the country. An elected Fellow of The American Artists Professional League (AAPL), Sissman's paintings are owned by institutional collectors nationwide, as well as individuals on three continents. Her work has won multiple awards, and have been written about
extensively.


Her art was the subject of a 40‐minute television interview (PKRG­‐TV), and her painting entitled, “Hudson River at Boscobel” appears in the major
motion picture, Something Borrowed, starring Kate Hudson.

“My landscapes, like my flowers, are not merely intended to reflect nature, but rather to project an inner reflection, a metaphorical journey, “ says Sissman. “I admire the intensity of emotions found in the works of the Expressionists. Like them, I too mix my soul with my paints. However, I strive to be subtle in my
expression of the intense.”

Sissman has had selected shows at the Newington‐Cropsey Museum in Hastings‐on Hudson, NY, The National Arts Club and the Salmagundi Club in New York, NY, the Montclair Art Museum in Montclair, NJ, and The Donald B. Palmer Museum in Springfield, NJ.
