Venerable Las Vegas tavern Hard Hat Lounge celebrates new era with grand opening party Sept. 6

LAS VEGAS - Sept. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Hard Hat Lounge celebrates its grand re-opening with a free First Friday after-party this Friday, Sept. 6, beginning at 10 p.m. The venerable Gateway District establishment will feature a variety of entertainment showcasing its new sound system and stage, including DJ sets by Selecta Scream and acoustic sets by Zabi of Holding Onto Sound and Brock of theCore. The bar will offer $3 shooters and $4 PBR and shooter specials, as well as Dirty Tequila girls giving out free shots. Hungry guests can enjoy selections from the newly open kitchen, including burgers, salads, Mexican specialties and much more.

Established in 1958, the Hard Hat Lounge is Las Vegas’ oldest continually operated tavern. Its back bar features a mural painted by artist Frank Bowers, who allegedly created the artwork in 1962 while on a bender and in need of money for food and lodging.
