His voice can be heard in countless classic animated cartoons still seen on television around the world. He was Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and a hundred others. His fans included Groucho Marx, Lionel Barrymore, and even Albert Einstein. His work with satirist Stan Freberg sold millions of records. You have probably never heard of him. His name was Daws Butler.

The Daws Butler Collection is an extensive assortment of his performances and writing, both rare and celebrated. Included are The Christmas That Almost Never Was, the classic 1940s children’s radio show; What the Butler Wrote, his 1975 acting workshop scripts; Rare Daws Butler, a selection of comedy recordings; and Daws Butler Teaches You Dialects, a tutorial in English and American accents, as well many other performances.

Daws Butler is considered one of greatest voice actors of the twentieth century. Known as the voice of Hanna-Barbera, he spent two decades with the animation production company and originated the voices of many well-known cartoon characters, including Yogi Bear, Quick Draw McGraw, Huckleberry Hound, and Cap’n Crunch (for Jay Ward).
