The teeth can tightly lock the HDMI Cable, not only prevent it from moving outward, also prevent from moving upward/downward. The green part is adjustable forward/backward because it attaches to the plate by any 2 of the 6 screw holes. The teeth would not damage your cable, please do not worry, because the real teeth's top is flat, not sharp as you see in the following engineering drawing image.

The Red part in the image is to prevent your DSLR from twisting, and adjustable forward/backward, fixed by 2 screws.

The plate comes with several 1/4" screw holes and a 3/8" screw hole, so it can attach to a tripod or a baseplate by directly mounting onto the quick release plate.

The Gray parts in the following image work as a Cage (not included with the HDMI Protector, just prototype). Top horizontal part with standard safety rail works with any of our QR handles or 3rd part handles. Vertical part is standard 15mm rods, so you can easily change to 15mm rods of any height to fit your DSLR height. The Gray parts still in the design process, any advice would be much appreciated.And your advice about the HDMI protector also always welcome.
